About Medsis
Medsis (meds.is) is a team of pharmacists and software engineers who are tired of how the pharmaceutical market works: endless tricks, confusing information, and marketing that often misleads the customer.
Our Mission
We want every person to be able to understand their prescribed medicines and make informed decisions — without needing a medical degree or hours of research.
That's why we built a service that helps you check any medicine prescribed to you for free. Medsis allows you to:
- Verify the medicine you've been prescribed
- Find alternatives that may be more effective, safer, or more affordable
- Reduce the influence of aggressive marketing and biased information
What We Are Building
Today, Medsis helps you quickly check medicines and compare options. Our long-term goal is more ambitious: to automate the entire process of choosing medicines.
We want you to be able to select and purchase the right medicine without:
- Visiting multiple doctors to get "one more opinion"
- Spending hours on the road and in queues
- Digging through dozens of websites, articles, and forums
Instead, you get a clear, structured view of the options, with transparent reasoning and references — all in one place.
How We Work With Information
We rely on publicly available data, clinical guidelines, and reputable regulatory sources where possible. Our goal is to collect and structure this information so that it becomes understandable to a non-specialist and actually useful for everyday decisions about treatment.
Medsis does not replace a doctor and does not make diagnoses. We help you:
- Ask better questions at your doctor's appointment
- Understand why a particular medicine was chosen
- Notice when something looks suspicious or excessive
Independence and Ethics
We are not influenced by pharmaceutical marketing. Our evaluations and comparisons are based on data and expert analysis, not on payments from manufacturers.
Representatives of pharmaceutical companies are kindly asked not to contact us with requests to change or "adjust" medicine ratings. Our assessments will not be altered in exchange for money, advertising, or other benefits.
Careers
We are always interested in specialists who share our values of transparency, evidence-based medicine, and respect for the end user.
We are especially interested in pharmacists and clinicians with:
- Experience in clinical research
- Good technical English
- Experience working with FDA, EMA and other regulatory or study data (guidelines, submissions, trial reports, etc.)
If this sounds like you, please email us at hh@meds.is.
Partnerships
We are open to collaborations with products, services, and organizations that share our approach: helping people make better health decisions through clarity, honesty, and high-quality information.
