The bite from that black widow was no joke, but thankfully Doxycycline knocked out the infection fast. My doctor said it was a good thing I got it so quickly, otherwise things could have gotten really bad. The meds themselves weren't a picnic though. My stomach was churning the whole time, especially in the mornings. I had to take it with food which meant I was pretty much craving bland stuff for a week. I also felt super tired, like I could sleep for days. It definitely wasn't fun, but surviving the spider bite was more important.

I was terrified when I got bitten by a brown recluse, honestly. That pain was excruciating! My doctor started me on Doxycycline right away and it made a world of difference. The swelling went down, the pain subsided, and the nasty looking wound started healing. I did experience some nausea and the occasional upset stomach, but it wasn't unbearable. It was a small price to pay for not having to deal with a serious infection.

Doxycycline was a nightmare. My doctor prescribed it for a spider bite, and while it might have helped with the infection, the side effects were awful. I had terrible diarrhea, so bad I couldn't leave the house for days. I was also constantly nauseous and dehydrated. I tried everything to manage it - eating bland foods, drinking tons of water, even ginger ale - but nothing worked. I felt miserable the whole time I was on it. I wouldn't recommend it unless absolutely necessary.

I wouldn't say my experience with Doxycycline was bad, but it wasn't exactly pleasant either. I was bitten by a spider and the doctor prescribed it to prevent infection. It worked, I'll give it that. But I definitely felt the side effects. My mouth felt dry all the time, and my stomach wasn't happy. I also noticed some weird changes in my skin, like it was more sensitive to the sun. It was a few weeks before I felt back to normal.
